The reason why EA has a sad face is because Autotrading is not turned on.
To make it a happy face (which means that the EA is in an active trading mode), check that you have activated both “Autotrading” and “Allow Live Trading”.
Note both "Autotrading" and "Allow Live Trading" must be activated.
To get into the “Allow Live Trading”, click on the “sad face” found at the top right of your screen. Then click on the common tab.
